What to Look For in a Housekeeper

• Experience - A mature housekeeper with years of experience is knowledgeable, knows what to look for and knows some cleaning tricks that a younger housekeeper may not know.
  
  A novice housekeeper brings youth, enthusiasm and energy. Were they taught well?
  
  Do your homework and check credentials. Are they bonded or licensed? Do they have references from current and past clients?

• Availability - Can the housekeeper or house cleaning service accommodate your schedule? Are they available days, evenings, weekends?

• Responsibility - Does this potential housekeeper have a car? Are they on time? Call their references and verify that they can stick to a schedule.

• References - A housekeeper that comes with verified references is highly recommended.

• Pets - Are they good with pets? especially large dogs.

• Detailed Cleaning - Are they a quick in and out service that just does surface cleaning or do they wipe down door jambs, moldings, vacuum behind doors, wipe down toilets, move objects when they dust, etc...???
